Mobile URL Tools
The idea here is to help you create URL's or ID's which are easy to type on a mobile phone keypad. Your mileage may vary, because not all phones handle the non-alphanumeric characters the same way (not to mention touch screens...).
Some facts I learned from the annoyance counter:
"adam" requires 4 clicks, and "eve" requires 7.
"14" requires 14 clicks.
The easiest U.S. states to type are "utah" (6 clicks, 1 pause) and "iowa" (8 clicks, no pauses). The hardest are "mississippi" (31 clicks, 3 pauses) and "south carolina" (32 clicks, 2 pauses).
"japan" (6/0) is easier to type than "china" (11/1). And so is "taiwan" (9/0).
"king" (8/0) is easier than "queen" (10/1)
"dog" (5/0) and "cat" (5/1) differ only by paws, er, a pause.
"house" (13/0) and "apartment" (13/0) require the same effort
"wap" (3/0) is easier than "web" (5/0)

Corner Maker, Courtesy of Google
Other blogs have mentioned that Google has a URL to generate round corners for web pages. I thought it would be fun to set up a simple form here to make it easier to try out, and to put the form in a rounded box with corners generated by Google.
